The French phrase ‘cherchez la femme’, search for the woman, is used to indicate that the key to a problem or mystery is a woman, and that she need only be found for the matter to be solved. Now, in our native post-catholic region of the world the lady in question is the one so long inserted into the heart of our many centuries long socio-cultural practices, and known largerly under the famed ‘Virgin Mary’ nickname. And its is around this strongly gendered feminine – by earthly means – character, but somewhat transgendered and clearly other-worldly, due to being bestowed with supranatural features, that will be treated as a culprit-to-be in my story.
